Thanks for this Ezinne. You are not repetitive. You are nuanced, and your writing resonates at a wavelength of higher emotional intelligence. YEAH I SAID IT!

Anyway, this whole ugly fiasco got me thinking about my own attitudes and words as a woman with 4A hair towards my sisters with 4B and C hair. I’ve had to look inwards to identify any episodes in which I was complicit in speaking over these sisters of mine. My conclusion was that inasmuch as we are one in spirit and goals, we are not a monolith, and it is my responsibility to discern when to shut up, listen and take notes.

Then suddenly I saw your post this morning which confirmed this to me even further. So no, in no way are you repetitive. You are actually quite kind to offer up valuable lessons to those of us who have often been arrogant in our assumption that we know what’s up, but who really need to apply more effort to stay out of the boundaries of erasure of our sisters experiences/stories/voices.
